The Harp and the Ferryman.
By: Helen Cox PhD and Peter Roberts
CM-Th Publisher: Michelle Anderson
If we have a calling in life then it may
are afraid to follow it. That is anything
but the case for Peter Roberts and
Helen Cox, whose journey is both an
inspiration and a blessing to all who
hear about it. This book beautifully
weaves together their individual
and collective paths to bring music
beauty and peace to so many who
suffered or confronted their own
Sisters of Spicefield.

Assisted by IVF, Jessica and Matt have
four beautiful children and they donate
a leftover embryo to a childless couple.
Seven years later, grief stricken after
the death of their youngest child, their
marriage is breaking down. Then a new
girl starts at the children's school, and
Jessica realises this child, Mia is her
biological offspring, born from that
embryo years before.

Any old rubbish in
your recycling bin?
Any old rubbish in your recycling bin?
Unfortunately not all plastics are recyclable, and when we
say 'no' we really mean NO! We recently found a few plastic
things that shouldn't have been in in some recycling bins, so we
thought we'd better put things a bit more clearly:
NO! plastic strapping, Coat hangers, buckets, or large
plastic lids or containers -- nah! NO!
NO! way will we take paint containers or buckets
A big NO! to polystyrene of any kind (packaging, plates, cups)
NO! NO! NO! polystyrene foam meat trays, rinsed or not
Plus please NO! don't put any recycling in bags -- loose
in the bin is best!
So what can you put in the recycling bin?
If in doubt -- check it out -- www.waimakariri.govt.nz
Anything else -- will just stay in your recycling bin along
with the rest of your recycling ... uncollected.
Thanks for your help in keeping it clean when you

Waimakariri District Council staff have now completed
remedial work on the Woodend water supply's Chinnerys
Road filter and have also installed new sampling points
throughout the network. The work followed the detection of
low levels of contamination in the network earlier in the year.
Regular testing since the completion of the remedial works
shows the water is fully compliant with the Drinking Water
Standards for New Zealand and therefore safe to drink.
