The Council is seeking an Asset Infor-
mation Officer(GIS/AMS) for its asset
information management team based in
Rangiora, North Canterbury. Rangiora

In this role, you will be a member of a
team responsible for the capture,
updating and analysis of Council assets
as well as supporting other units of the
Council with cartographic mapping
requirements and reports. The position
requires an understanding of spatial
mapping and asset management system-
sand you will be confident in using and
learning associated software. Skills in
ArcGIS and Asset Management Systems
would be an advantage but training will be
provided. You will have a positive ap-

Network Field Operator
(Electrician / Faultperson)
We are seeking an additional Network Field Operator to join
our Network Operations team. This position involves carrying
out work on the MainPower HV and LV network, including
duties such as network switching operations, attending faults,
asset inspections, responding to retailer and customer requests,
Control Room backup and other associated duties. There is also a
requirement to take part in the standby roster to attend to after-
hours fault callouts. Of high importance is an ability to work
safely and effectively either alone or in a team environment.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our
Network Field Services team. Based in the Substations Workshop,
this position involves the construction and installation
of distribution substations, kiosks, link-boxes etc, and the
installation, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment such
as switchgear, circuit breakers and transformers along with the
wiring of this equipment and some associated civil work.
Successful applicants for both roles will have the following
