Our Earthquake Recovery Communications Coor-
dinator is leaving us to travel overseas, so we re
looking for a replacement on a 12 month contract
term to meet our infrastructural and social
recovery communications needs.
This is a challenging and unique role -- one which
is vital to restoring normality to earthquake
affected residents. You ll be providing profes-
sional communications support for the Council s
Earthquake Recovery effort and associated
teams, integral to which is communications
surrounding progress on the earthquake recovery
You ll need drive, ambition, empathy and a strong
sense of humour, with a focus on getting the job
done . You ll also need experience in media
communications engagement, planning and pro-
duction with well developed skills in the co-
ordination of the different communications
functions (writing, advertising, public/media
relations, print collateral and website content).
Your ability to get people onside will be second to
none. A relevant tertiary qualification (journalism,
marketing, public relations) and a strong com-
mand of English would be a plus.

one of NZ's leading producers of overlay panels and MDF profiled
mouldings for use in a wide range of domestic and commercial interior
Working as part of the small multi skilled team on our decorative
panel press, you will be responsible for preparing, pressing, quality
inspections and packing of our melamine panel products as well as
supporting other production areas as required.
We require someone with sound mechanical and problem solving
skills. You will need to be self- motivated with a reasonable degree of
physical fitness and have a strong commitment to health and safety.
Previous machine or process operator skills would be an advantage.
A Forklift F endorsement, and or an OSH approved forklift safety
