Draft Annual Plan 2013/2014
Invitation to Make Submissions
The Statement of Proposal for the Draft Annual Plan 2013/2014 for the Waimakariri
District was approved by Council for consultation on Tuesday 26 February 2013.
The Draft Annual Plan contains the Statement of Proposal with information on the
Council's proposed work programme for the 2013/2014 year.
This document will be available to the public from Saturday 9 March 2013. It can be
inspected at/collected from Council service centres and libraries at 215 High Street,
Rangiora, 24 Sewell Street, Kaiapoi and 34 Main Street, Oxford, or viewed online at the
Council's website wmk.govt.nz. Submission forms can be collected from Council service
centres and libraries or an online submission can be made on the Council's website.
Summary information will be posted in the Kaiapoi Advocate on Friday 8
March and the North Canterbury News newspaper on Tuesday 12 March.
Submissions must be made in writing and must include the submitter's
name and contact details in order to be considered by Council. Anonymous
submissions will not be considered. Submitters are welcome to comment as
individuals or on behalf of organisations and groups in which they are involved.
The submission period closes on Tuesday 9 April 2013. The Council may
decide not to consider submissions that are received after this date.
Submitters have the option of presenting their submission in person to the Council.
These hearings are to be held on:
• Wednesday 1 May 2013, from 1pm to 8pm, in Kaiapoi
• Thursday 2 May 2013, from 1pm to 9pm, in Rangiora
Hearings will be held in the Council Chambers in Rangiora, and the Kaiapoi
Community Centre, Sewell Street, in Kaiapoi, and are open to the public. Presentation
times are usually 10 minutes each. Submitters are asked to fill in their preferred
date and time on their submission form, and include their name, address and phone
number so that the Council can confirm the details of the hearing at a later date.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY
CLOSURE OF VARIOUS
STREETS IN PEGASUS
The Council has approved an application from Traffic
Management NZ, to allow the running of the Canterbury Primary
Schools Triathlon Event at Pegasus.
Road Closures at
Te Kohanga Drive from Te Waihora to the Beach access road.
The Esplanade from Te Waihora to Te Kekoanga Drive Beach Road
This will affect the following roads that fall within this boundary:
Te Wairewa Street Puari Lane
Te Waihora Street Rapaki Street
De Surville Way
Beach Access Road
Residents and delivery vehicles will be given access in and out of the
area and there will be a full letter drop advising the residents and
businesses the week leading up to the event.
Period of Closure
Wednesday 13 March 2013
10am to 1.30pm
This closure is made in accordance with Section 11(e) of the Tenth
Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974 and will apply to all
vehicular traffic with the exception of the Fire Service, Ambulance,
Police, Council vehicles and other vehicles authorised by the Council.
