Patchwork and Quilting
The next monthly meeting of the North Canterbury Patchwork
and Quilting Group will be held at the Presbyterian Church
Hall, corner High and King Streets, Rangiora, from 9.30am
until 12 noon on Tuesday 13 November. Everyone welcome.
A door charge of $2.00 applies.
Pianist At Chamber Gallery

Woodend Beach Country Music
Free admission to the annual Country Music Festival at the
Soundshell, Woodend Beach on Saturday and Sunday 10th
and 11th November, from 10:30 - 4:30. Top performers,

venue is Lions Club Youth Centre on Woodend-Rangiora

Rangiora High School
Teacher Only Days
& Paid Union Meeting
THURSDAY 15 NOVEMBER
Rangiora High School will hold a Teacher Only
Day on Thursday 15 November. No classes will
operate on this day. This day has been granted by
the Minister of Education to allow teaching staff
to undertake work on the NCEA standards
realignment. The NCEA examinations running on
Thursday 15 November are unaffected. Please
note buses will NOT operate on this day.
FRIDAY 16 NOVEMBER
School closed for Show Day (a public holiday).
MONDAY 19 NOVEMBER
The Post-Primary Teachers' Association (PPTA)
has called a Paid Union Meeting in Canterbury
on the morning of Monday 19 November. The
PPTA has a right to call two such meetings each
year. No classes will operate on this day. Non-
PPTA staff will be at school in the morning during
the Paid Union Meeting to supervise any students
will attend in the morning. From 11.00am, the
school will close and these students will go
home. Rangiora High School will hold a Teacher
Only Day from 11.00am on Monday 19 November.
The NCEA examinations running on Monday 19
November are unaffected. Please note, because
of the large numbers of Year 11 students sitting
examinations on this day buses will operate
normally in the morning. The buses will take
students home from 12.40pm on this day.

The Airport volunteers are committed to
providing a positive first and last impression of
Christchurch, Canterbury and New Zealand.
Christchurch Airport volunteers sign up for a
minimum of two four-hour shifts per week,
between the hours of 8am and 8pm, Monday
to Sunday, and are provided with some uniform
attire and free parking.
